McGregor responded a short time ago to the announcement by the Prime Minister of Ireland that the girl Emily had been released from the captivity of Hamas, and wrote that it was "a very happy day, and a great relief that the girl Emily Hand, an innocent girl who was lost, was found and returned." Many were outraged by the wording of the message, including McGregor himself who came out against the Prime Minister.

McGregor responded to the Prime Minister's post and wrote "She was kidnapped by an evil terrorist organization, a fact that you, your government, and your funded media are trying to hide under the carpet, like your attempt to hide the stabbing of innocent children in Dublin, we will not forget it!"
