After the Houthi rebels took control of a merchant ship in the waters of the Red Sea and towed it towards Yemen, the commander of the "Houthi Naval Forces" visited the ship.
The cargo ship "Galaxy Leader" underwent a hostile takeover, when during Sunday, terrorists of the Houthi rebel organization boarded it with the help of Iranian model helicopters, and took control of the ship and the crew at gunpoint, claiming that the ship is owned by Israel, even though the ship has very few connections to Israeli businessmen.
The commander of the naval forces of the Houthis who carried out the takeover, arrived at the hijacked ship and on board praised the takeover activity against it and claimed that this is another stage in the "Palestinian resistance" and another stage in the war against Israel.
The cargo ship was mostly empty when it went through the takeover, because it had just unloaded its cargo in Turkey and was on its way to India to pick up more products when it was seized, but the takeover of a ship in the Red Sea, a major international trade route, is a significant step up in Iranian activity in the conflict.
