While Israel continues to be at war in the wake of the October 7 massacre, many around the world are protesting for Hamas and Israel’s elimination. In some places the protestors are engaging in violence, which sometimes reaches murderous levels, towards local Jews.
One of these cases took place in Ventura County, California near Los Angeles, where Paul Kessler, a 65-year-old Jewish man, was struck by a pro-Palestinian protestor with a megaphone. He fell to the ground and died soon after he was taken to the hospital last night (between Monday and Tuesday).
The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles published a response to the event:
The Ventura County Sherrif’s Department, which is investigating the case as a homicide, said that “witness accounts indicated that Kessler was involved in a physical altercation with counter-protestor(s). During the altercation, Kessler fell backwards and struck his head on the ground."
