Prepare for an emergency: UK issues this warning after it unmasks shocking Russian sabotage

Britain has uncovered an extensive Russian espionage network targeting its nuclear submarines and strategic assets, according to reports in major UK media outlets this morning (Sunday).

In a comprehensive exposé, the Sunday Times described Russia’s “secret war” in British territorial waters, employing advanced technological tools. A key focus is tracking the movements of Britain’s four nuclear submarines, armed with nuclear missiles. Russian intelligence has reportedly deployed special underwater sensors to monitor these submarines and other vital vessels, alongside efforts to target strategic infrastructure sites. The British Navy has discovered suspicious devices and equipment, believed to have been deliberately hidden by Russia to gather sensitive intelligence.

Dubbed a “gray zone war” in Britain, the operation involves sophisticated espionage, disruption, and attacks on undersea infrastructure, including internet cables, energy pipelines, and military assets. Russian security and intelligence services are also said to be utilizing luxury yachts and super-yachts owned by oligarchs to conduct maritime and underwater espionage missions, often sailing close to British naval ships.

The British military has exposed a sustained Russian effort involving unmanned mini-submarines equipped with advanced technology. These devices can sit on the seabed, planting explosives, cutting cables, or infiltrating data networks. This ties into growing concerns in Britain that Russia aims to sabotage its energy infrastructure, such as offshore wind farms, gas pipelines, and communication cables, potentially causing severe damage, especially during winter or extreme cold spells.

The Daily Mail reported this morning, citing unnamed security sources, an unofficial directive for UK citizens to prepare “survival kits” for emergencies, mirroring recent official calls in France, Sweden, and from the European Commission. Sources advised citizens to be ready for a scenario requiring self-sufficiency for at least 72 hours. Recommended kits include water, canned food, medications, a battery-powered radio, a flashlight, personal identification documents, and a Swiss army knife.

Security sources expressed deep concern over Russia’s potential to target Britain’s energy infrastructure, particularly gas pipelines. “Fears that Russia is planning a sabotage operation have escalated since the Russian spy ship Yantar was spotted near critical underwater infrastructure in the North Sea a few months ago,” the report noted.

The Daily Mail highlighted a series of sabotage incidents across Europe over the past two years, attributed to or associated with Russia, though Moscow has never officially claimed responsibility. “We know the Russians are active in the North Sea and have the capability to cripple our energy lines,” a source told the outlet.

Following the EU’s lead, Britain is now calling on its citizens to stockpile food and prepare for an emergency.
