It's not what he said, it's how he said it
Yair Netanyahu lashes out at Macron; PM is not impressed
Yair Netanyahu harshly attacked French President Emmanuel Macron for declaring France’s support for establishing a Palestinian state. The Prime Minister distanced himself from his son’s style but endorsed his stance.

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s son, Yair, posted on his Twitter account, lashing out at French President Emmanuel Macron after Macron called for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Yair Netanyahu took a jab at Macron, calling for independence for territories under French control, writing: “To hell with you! Yes to independence for New Caledonia! Yes to independence for French Polynesia! Yes to independence for Corsica! Yes to independence for the Basque Country! Yes to independence for French Guinea! Stop France’s neo-imperialism in West Africa!”
Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to his son’s remarks, writing on his X account: “I love my son Yair, a true Zionist who cares about the future of the state. Like every citizen, he is entitled to his personal opinion, though the style of his response to President Macron’s statement calling for a Palestinian state is unacceptable to me.”
Nevertheless, the Prime Minister backed his son’s position: “President Macron is gravely mistaken when he continues to promote the idea of a Palestinian state in the heart of our land, whose sole aspiration is the destruction of the State of Israel. To this moment, no element in Hamas or the Palestinian Authority has condemned the most horrific massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, which speaks volumes about their true attitude toward the Jewish state. We will not jeopardize our existence due to unrealistic illusions, nor will we accept moral lectures about establishing a Palestinian state that would endanger Israel’s existence from someone who opposes granting independence to Corsica, New Caledonia, French Guinea, and other territories, whose independence would not threaten France in any way.”
