The Judea and Samaria Police District, in coordination with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), launched an investigation on Wednesday night following a violent incident near the town of Kokhav Hashahar in the Binyamin Region. During the event, rioters attacked police officers with rocks and later set a squad car on fire.

The disturbance began when police received a report of unusual noise near Givat Habaladim. Upon arrival, officers discovered a wedding taking place at the site. However, their presence quickly sparked a violent riot, with dozens of individuals hurling rocks at the police vehicle. In response, one officer fired warning shots into the air to disperse the attackers and called for reinforcements. Meanwhile, rioters punctured the tires of the squad car before ultimately setting it ablaze.

Reinforcements, including a large number of police officers and Shin Bet agents, arrived at the scene and detained 17 suspects for allegedly throwing rocks and damaging police property.
