Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video statement today (Tuesday) telling the Israeli public what he did during the visit to the United States and his visit with President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu began by addressing the Iranian question: "First of all - Iran. We agree that Iran will not have nuclear weapons. This can be done through an agreement, but only if this agreement is a Libya-style agreement; where they go in, blow up the facilities, dismantle all the equipment, under American supervision and with American implementation - that's good. The second possibility is that this doesn't happen. That they simply drag out the talks, and then the option is military. Everyone understands this. We discussed this at length."

He then talked about the importance of eliminating Hamas, freeing the hostages, and also carrying out President Trump's idea of allowing for a voluntary relocation of Gazans to other countries: "The second topic we talked about - Gaza. We are determined to eliminate Hamas, and at the same time, we are determined to bring back all our hostages. And the President looked at me and told the reporters there: 'This man works all the time to release the hostages.' I hope with this he shattered the lie that is spread daily that I am not working for them, that I don't care. I do care, and I am doing it, and we will also succeed in this.

"We also talked about President Trump's vision, because we are currently in contact with countries that are talking about the possibility of absorbing many Gazans. This is important, because in the end this is what needs to happen."

Netanyahu then addressed the matter of Turkey: "Turkey wants to establish military bases in Syria, and this is a danger to Israel. We oppose this and are working against it. I told President Trump, who is my friend and also a friend of Erdogan: 'If we need your help - we will talk to you about it.'"

He ended by addressing the matter of tariffs: "And the fourth and final topic - tariffs. President Trump asked countries to reduce their trade deficit with the United States to zero. I told him: 'This is not so difficult for us. We will do it.' This is the least we can do for the United States and its President who do so much for us."

He finished by saying that "It was a very good visit, a very warm visit, and there are other things you will hear about later."
