Kneeling and Crying Out
WATCH: Hamas releases another video of hostage Elkana Bohbot
It's important to note that some, if not all, of the content in the video likely reflects dictates from his Hamas captors, who are employing cruel psychological warfare.

Hamas, still holding dozens of Israeli hostages including at least 20 believed to be alive, released a new video this afternoon (Saturday) featuring hostage Elkana Bohbot. This comes just days after a previous video earlier this week showed Bohbot calling for help alongside Yosef Chaim Ohana, a young hostage from a Haredi family in Kiryat Malachi.
In today’s video, Bohbot is seen crying out for help, covering his face with his hands. In the background, an image of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears on a screen. Bohbot pleads for assistance, urging action to secure his release alive, reiterating that the video was made at his personal request.
The footage also shows Bohbot appealing to the Histadrut (Israel’s labor federation), asking for their help as someone who worked under their framework. This may be an attempt by Hamas to use the hostage to push for another economic shutdown in Israel, following reports earlier this week.
Bohbot’s family approved the video’s publication.
“We are anxious and worried,” the family stated. “How much longer can Elkana survive the hell in Gaza? We plead with the Israeli public in every possible way—listen to Elkana’s cry. Don’t forget him. We must save him and our brothers in captivity. This is the second sign of life we’ve received this week. How many more signs of life will there be? These must not become final memories. Elkana, if you can hear us—we won’t stop fighting until you return home.”
