During a Knesset discussion today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel is considering a number of steps against Hamas if they refuse to release the hostages on Israel's terms, including seizing territory "and other means I will not list here."

During the discussion, multiple leaders of the opposition renewed their claims of Netanyahu's blame for October 7 and the current situation, saying that a thorough investigation would reveal his errors in full and that Netanyahu doesn't know how to do anything except appease Hamas leaders like Yahya Sinwar, who was the Hamas leader during most of Prime Minister Netanyahu's tenure in the 21st century prior to October 7, though he has since been eliminated.

So far, the IDF has launched operations in the north and south of the Gaza Strip and returned to nearly bisecting the Strip at the Netzarim Junction point, though it has not yet entirely split the area in two as before.

Meanwhile, small groups of Gazan citizens throughout the Gaza Strip have been arranging protests calling for an immediate end to the war and even the release of the hostages, due to the unending suffering of the population. Netanyahu said recently that such protests prove that Israel's current policy is the correct one.
