In Central Israel
Israeli man's fingers severed by safe room door during air raid siren
The dramatic injury underscores the chaos that can accompany such alerts, even when rockets miss populated zones. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as tensions remain high following the barrage.

A man in his 50s suffered a severe injury during a rocket alert in central Israel, losing several fingers when a safe room door slammed shut on his hand. The incident occurred amid sirens blaring across Gush Dan and surrounding areas, triggered by three rockets launched from Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.
Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) and Rescue’s motorcycle unit rushed to Givatayim, where they found the man in distress. Paramedics provided immediate care, applying splints and bandages to his injured hand, before evacuating him to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer. His condition was reported as mild-to-moderate.
The rocket attack, the first targeting central Israel in months, saw one projectile intercepted by the Israeli Air Force, while the other two landed in open areas, causing no additional casualties, according to the IDF. Alarms echoed through Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Rishon Lezion, and beyond, sending residents scrambling for cover.
Rocket fragments were found in Rishon Lezion, with emergency personnel working to neutralize them.
