For the first time in months, Hamas managed to launch long-range rockets toward central Israel, according to a statement from the IDF spokesperson.

The IDF spokesperson’s statement read: "Alerts were activated in several areas in central Israel following launches from the Gaza Strip; details are under review."

Israel Police stated: "An alarm has just been sounded in the Central District sector. Israel Police is conducting searches to locate impact sites of munitions within the district’s jurisdiction.

Officers from the Central District are currently conducting operational searches in the sector in response to reports received at the 100 emergency hotline, in order to locate and isolate any impact sites, if they exist, to assist the public.

We will update with further details as they become available and call on residents to stay near protected spaces, avoid approaching impact sites, refrain from touching rocket debris that may contain explosives, and report immediately to the Israel Police hotline at 100."

The IDF spokesperson updated: "Following the alerts activated a short time ago in the Gush Dan and Shfela regions, three launches were identified crossing into Israeli territory from southern Gaza Strip. The Air Force successfully intercepted one launch, while two additional launches fell in open areas."

Hamas’s military wing took responsibility for the rockets, saying "We launched M-90 rockets toward Tel Aviv - In response to Zionist massacres."

Multiple sites of shrapnel debris have been identified across Rishon LeZion after a rocket attack, though no casualties have been reported, authorities confirmed.

Local police, municipal patrol units, and fire services are actively responding.
