Israel’s Defense Minister Threatens Gaza in 'Last Warning'
Katz’s ultimatum to Gaza - "Return the hostages or face complete destruction"
Israel's Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, issued a stark warning to the residents of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, urging them to cooperate with Israeli forces by helping to return the hostages taken by Hamas and by distancing themselves from the terrorist group. Katz emphasized that failure to do so would lead to even more severe consequences.

"Residents of Gaza, this is your last warning," Katz began, drawing a comparison between the current situation and past events. "The first Sinwar ruined Gaza, the second Sinwar will destroy it completely." He was referring to Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, whose influence over the militant group has been seen as a primary factor in the ongoing conflict.
Katz's message highlighted Israel’s escalating military operations, warning that the recent airstrikes on Hamas targets were just the beginning. "The Air Force strikes on Hamas terrorists were just the first step," Katz warned. "The continuation will be much worse and you will pay the full price." He underscored the gravity of the situation, making it clear that Israel would not hesitate to take more extreme measures.
The Minister of Defense also called on the residents of Gaza to evacuate the combat zones, stressing that Israeli forces were preparing for further operations. "Soon, the population will again be evacuated from the combat zones," Katz stated. He emphasized that the priority was the safe return of Israeli hostages and the dismantling of Hamas’s presence in Gaza. He made it clear that if these demands were not met, Israel would take decisive action.
In a final appeal, Katz referenced a previous statement by U.S. President Donald Trump, urging Gaza’s residents to consider cooperating with Israel. "Take the advice of the President of the United States," he said. "Return the hostages and get rid of Hamas, and other options will open for you – including emigration to other places in the world for those who so wish."
Katz’s message concluded with a dire warning: "The alternative is total ruin and destruction." This statement underscores Israel's resolve in its efforts to rid Gaza of Hamas and secure the return of hostages, while offering the population a chance to escape the escalating conflict through cooperation.
