The Houthis, backed by Iran, launched missiles toward southern Israel, triggering sirens in multiple locations. The missile launch, however, failed and was intercepted outside of Israeli airspace, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The missile, launched by Houthi terrorists in Yemen, was a medium-range ballistic missile aimed at Israel. The IDF confirmed that the air force successfully intercepted one missile fired from Yemen, preventing any potential damage or casualties.

The sirens were heard in several locations across the northern Negev, starting at 6:56 p.m. on Tuesday. Areas affected by the sirens included Beersheba, Merhav Am, Nevatim, Revivim, and several others.

The Israeli military stated that the details of the incident are currently under review. The situation remains ongoing as authorities continue to assess the incident and monitor any further developments.

The Houthis confirmed the attack saying "We launched a ballistic missile towards the Negev Air Force Base. If Israeli aggression against Gaza is not stopped, we will expand the launches in the coming hours and days."
