World slams Israel as Gaza fighting resumes: "A new phase of Genocide"
It's not all that complicated. Give us back our hostages, or stop complaining about the consequences.

Israel’s overnight assault in Gaza has sparked a global firestorm, with the UN, Russia, Belgium, Spain, and Turkey condemning the collapse of the ceasefire. Hours after airstrikes rocked the Strip, Egypt’s plea for a halt was rebuffed by Israel, fueling outrage and warnings of a spiraling humanitarian crisis.
UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk led the charge, calling the attack “appalling” and warning it deepens Gaza’s already dire tragedy. Turkey’s Foreign Minister went further, branding it “a new phase in Israel’s genocide policy against Palestinians” and accusing Jerusalem of defying international law. “Israel is challenging humanity itself,” he declared, demanding global action to restore the ceasefire and ensure aid flows.
Russia’s Kremlin voiced alarm over civilian deaths, with spokesperson Dmitry Peskov labeling the escalation “deeply concerning” and urging a return to calm. Belgium’s Foreign Minister Maxime Ferbeau echoed that on X: “These strikes undermine the clear deal—ceasefire and hostage releases. Blocking aid is a flagrant breach of law. Both sides must act for peace.” He pressed Arab mediators to intervene.
Spain piled on, with Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares denouncing “indiscriminate bombardment” of civilians. The outcry followed reports of Egypt’s failed bid to broker an immediate hostage release for a truce, a plan Israel rejected, per Al-Arabiya.
Of course, none of these countries mentioned that Hamas attacked, raped, murdered, pillaged and took hostages, from a 9 month old baby to elderly men, and to this day, holds 59 hostages, which it refuses to return. But that's par for the course, these days.
The IDF confirmed widespread strikes on Hamas targets, directed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz after the terror group stonewalled talks. “Hamas rejected every offer from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and mediators,” Katz’s office stated.
