The Gates of Hell opened

IDF’s deadly Gaza blitz: Hundreds killed, 5 Hamas leaders wiped out in surprise strike

As Hamas scrambles to recover, Israel’s leaders doubled down, their bunker huddle a symbol of resolve amid chaos.

In a thunderous overnight assault, Israel’s Air Force unleashed hell on Hamas, killing over 326 people (according to Hamas)—including five of the terror group’s top brass—in a surprise strike that lit up the Gaza sky from Monday into Tuesday.

Commanded from a high-tech bunker at the Kirya, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Shin Bet head Ronen Bar defied political storms to orchestrate the operation, targeting commanders, political heavies, and terror hubs as Gaza residents fled at dawn.

The blitz, greenlit unanimously Monday night by the Prime Minister, Defense Minister Katz, Ron Dermer, and top security chiefs, marked a ferocious escalation after stalled hostage talks. From the Kirya’s Air Force bunker, Zamir, Bar—facing imminent dismissal—and Commander Tomer Bar called the shots, their silhouettes captured in IDF footage as bombs rained down. “This was no ordinary night,” an IDF source hinted.

Hamas reeled as Israel eliminated five key figures:

The strike’s toll was immediate and staggering, with the IDF confirming hits on mid-level commanders and infrastructure. By morning, Gaza’s streets emptied as residents scrambled to safety, while Israel shut schools in the Gaza Envelope and halted Sderot’s train line, bracing for fallout. Khan Younis, a Hamas stronghold, lay battered, its scars visible in fresh footage.

Bar’s role added intrigue. Tipped for ouster at the next government meeting, the Shin Bet chief stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Zamir, his approval sealing the attack’s fate. Sources say the deadlock over 59 hostages—still languishing in Hamas captivity—lit the fuse, pushing Israel to strike hard and fast. “Our enemy won’t negotiate, so we hit them where it hurts,” a security insider told Kikar.

This wasn’t just a military flex—it was a message. Israel is not going to sit around and wait anymore. Witkoff already saw through Hamas' games and their clear intentions to drag out the hostage crisis and ceasefire negotiations as long as possible, without any desire to release further hostages.

Israel, with Bibi at its head, has had enough, and it looks likes Trump's Gates of Hell may have finally opened.
