The IDF's missile defense network has been placed on the highest alert tonight (Sunday) due to possible Houthi missile and drone attacks in retaliation for US strikes on Houthi military infrastructure and leaders throughout Yemen, according to N12 News.

The United States has been launching an intensive series of strikes against Houthi forces in Yemen, attacking not only military infrastructure like radars and missile sites, but also commanders.

The Houthi forces reportedly lack a big reserve of experienced commanders, so the hope is that eliminating enough of them will seriously degrade Houthi offensive capabilities.

Despite all these strikes however, Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi is still alive and vowing to continue to attack Israeli-affiliated shipping until Israel allows aid into the Gaza Strip, and has even said that American ships will now no longer be allowed into the Red Sea due to the American air strikes.

Although there is no explicit warning of Houthi counterattacks against Israel over these strikes, the IDF is nevertheless taking the necessary precautions to defend the country against any such attack.
