At the Speed of Light: Rafael Reveals When Laser Interception System Will Be Delivered to IDF

During Defense Minister Israel Katz's visit to Rafael's Leshem Institute, the timeline for delivering the innovative "Iron Beam" laser system to the IDF was revealed. According to reports, the system, which represents a technological breakthrough in aerial threat interception, is expected to be delivered to the defense establishment during the current year.

During the visit, which included a tour of the company's development and production facilities, the Defense Minister emphasized the strategic importance of the laser system: "The laser system is the weapon of the future that will allow us to thwart an entire layer of threats - from UAVs to other things with excellent results that are continuously improving."

The "Iron Beam" system joins Israel's air defense array, which already includes the "Iron Dome" and "David's Sling" systems, which have proven their effectiveness in protecting Israeli citizens against a variety of multi-arena threats during the past year and a half.

The visit was also attended by Rafael Chairman Dr. Yuval Steinitz, company CEO Yoav Turgeman, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Defense Itamar Graf, Head of the Planning Directorate Major General Eyal Harel, and other senior officials.

The Defense Minister expressed his appreciation for the company's activities and said: "I came to see the amazing development and production of what I see as the protective wall of the State of Israel against enemies who have inscribed our destruction on their flag." Katz added a warning to Israel's enemies: "They should know and understand well: we have many means here to deliver them a decisive blow if they raise a hand against the State of Israel again - that hand will be cut off."

Rafael Chairman Dr. Steinitz emphasized that the company's developments represent "global breakthroughs for Israel's security and the protection of its citizens," and promised that the company intends "to double and triple its efforts."
