Terrorist sources speaking with A-Sharq al-Awsat today (Wednesday) said that Israel was ramping up its efforts to increase intelligence collection in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of trying to learn more about the hostages and in possible preparation for a renewed offensive.

According to the sources, Israel is making increasing use of drones with cameras and dropping listening devices "the size of a worm" in multiple public areas such as cemeteries, open areas, and residential areas.

The aim is to collect as much intelligence as possible about the possible location of the hostages and in preparation for an offensive if the hostage negotiations taking place collapse.

Terrorist organizations inside the Gaza Strip are reportedly on the alert in preparation for war to resume. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly approved the idea but not the timing, presumably to give negotiations in Doha a chance.
