Elections Heating Up
New poll: Without Ra'am, Netanyahu and Gantz blocs dead even
Another poll shows the anti-Bibi coalition unable to secure a majority without the Israeli Arab party, which some within the coalition refuse to work with again.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition and Benny Gantz's opposition bloc are now perfectly even, 55-55, according to a new poll by Maagar Mochot for Channel 13 yesterday (Tuesday), if Ra'am - a former part of the bloc now rejected by parts of it, is taken out of consideration.
If the election were held today, Likud would get 26 seats, State Camp 18, Yisrael Beytenu 15, Yesh Atid 11, Democrats 11, Shas 10, UTJ 7, Otzmah Yehudit 7, Hadash-Ta'al 5, Ra'am 5, Religious Zionism 5.
Balad and New Right would not pass the electoral threshold.
With Ra'am, Gantz's bloc would get 60 seats and Netanyahu's bloc would get 55, with Hadash-Ta'al remaining on the outside.
Without Ra'am, both Netanyahu and Gantz's blocs would get 55 seats, with the Arab parties making up the remaining 10.
The coalition is set to work hard to pass this year's budget to avoid triggering an early election, which is set by law to take place in November 2026. Most Haredi leaders have also opposed leaving the government and triggering an election, despite their anger at the coalition's failure to pass a draft law providing broad draft exemptions for yeshivah students.
