According to reports from Kan News, the defendant, a man from Holon, admitted to driving the terrorist on two separate occasions on the same day. In exchange for NIS 450, he transported the terrorist without realizing his involvement in any criminal activity. During the first trip, he took the man to a West Bank checkpoint. Later, the defendant drove him back from the checkpoint to Bat Yam.

In questioning, the defendant maintained that he was unaware of the terrorist's intentions or that he was transporting explosives. "He sat next to me with the bag. I didn’t know that he had an explosive and that he was a terrorist," the defendant explained, insisting that he was simply acting as a driver for a payment.

Despite the serious charges against him, the judge overseeing the case decided to release the defendant under house arrest. The ruling was based on insufficient evidence to prove that he knowingly assisted the terrorist in carrying out the bombing.

As of now, the terrorists responsible for planting the explosives are still at large, and authorities continue their investigation into the case. The incident has raised concerns about the ease with which terrorists can move around the country, potentially targeting civilian areas with explosive devices. Investigators are working diligently to track down the perpetrators and ensure they face justice for their actions.
