BREAKING: Earthquake in Eilat
A 4.4 level earthquake was felt in Eilat just now, originating dozens of kilometers away on the Sinai coats.

A short time ago today (Thursday), a 4.4 level earthquake was felt in Eilat, originating dozens of kilometers away along the Sinai coast.
The Energy and Infrastructures Ministry reports that the Geological Institute updated that a 4.3 level earthquake occurred at 1:42 PM Israel time in the Eilat area.
The ministry asked citizens to report if they felt the earthquake to help form an assessment of the dangers and risks of earthquakes in Israel.
According to Ynet, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported the epicenter of the earthquake to be near the Red Sea, approximately 65 km south of Eilat and 16 km from the resort town of Nuweiba in Sinai. It was felt at 13:41, and occurred at a depth of 19 km.
Ynet also said that the earthquake was felt in Eilat, while the city anxiously awaits potential floods due to the unusual weather. Rain has already fallen in the Arava region during the day, with two millimeters of rainfall measured in Lotan and Paran.
