Before the painful funeral of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, who were brutally murdered while held captive by Hamas, Yarden Bibas received a personal Torah scroll dedicated to the memory of his family.

Yarden wrote three letters in the Torah scroll, the letters of his family's names, S (for his wife Shiri), A (for his son Ariel), and K (for Kfir) . The book was donated by Rabbi Moshe Scheiner, at the initiative of the philanthropist Shai Graucher.

The three members of the Bibas family were laid to rest on Wednesday at the Tzohar cemetery in the Eshkol region – less than a week after their coffins were returned from Hamas captivity.

The funeral procession of the three departed from the Hevra Kadisha in Rishon Lezion and passed through a number of intersections, where tens of thousands of people stood on the side of the roads with Israeli flags waiting to pay their last respects.

At the funeral procession, Yarden said: "Kfir, I'm sorry I didn't take better care of you, but it's important to me that you know that I love you very much and I miss you very much. I miss "snacking" on you and hearing you laugh. I miss our games in the morning when mom would ask me to look after you before I go to work so I loved those little moments and they I miss today more than ever! Kfir, I love you the most in the world, always in the world! I have a lot more things to tell you, but I'll keep them when we're alone."
