Shocking $3 Billion Arms Sale to Israel Approved
Trump's $3 Billion weapons deal with Israel: What congress isn’t saying
The Trump administration has authorized a substantial arms sale to Israel, valued at nearly $3 billion. This includes the approval of a vast array of weaponry, specifically more than 35,500 MK 84 and BLU-117 bombs, as well as 4,000 Predator warheads.

These weapons are intended to support Israel’s ongoing military efforts, particularly in its fight against Hamas in Gaza. In an effort to expedite the process, the sale was approved on an emergency basis, bypassing the usual congressional review process. This is in line with the national security interests of the United States, as determined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who signed off on the deal.
The urgency of this sale is underscored by the situation in the Middle East, where Israel is confronting significant threats. The approval of these weapons, which includes advanced bombs and warheads, is seen as a means to enhance Israel’s defense capabilities. The weapons are designed to improve Israel’s ability to confront both immediate and future threats in the region, thus reinforcing its security. In addition to the bombs, the sale also includes $295 million worth of D9R and D9T Caterpillar bulldozers, vital equipment for military operations. These bulldozers had previously been held up under the Biden administration due to concerns over their use in demolitions in Gaza. However, the Trump administration has moved forward with their approval, citing national security considerations and removing human rights conditions that had been attached by Biden's predecessor.
This arms sale is part of a broader policy approach that reflects the Trump administration's stance on supporting Israel, regardless of the human rights concerns that have traditionally influenced U.S. foreign aid decisions. The sale bypasses the foreign relations committees in both the House and Senate, and the weapons will be delivered in phases, with some deliveries slated to begin in 2026 and others in 2028. The expedited approval process is a clear indication of the administration’s priorities in bolstering Israel's defense and deterrence against regional threats.
In addition to the emergency sale of bombs and bulldozers, the U.S. State Department has indicated that these transactions will significantly enhance Israel's ability to protect its homeland and maintain a strong defense posture in the face of ongoing challenges in the region. This move is consistent with the Trump administration's broader approach to defense and foreign policy, emphasizing swift action in critical national security matters.
