Israeli security forces intensified their counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria in February, successfully neutralizing multiple threats and dismantling terrorist networks.

Over the course of the month, approximately 25 terrorists were killed, including arms dealers, bomb-makers, and militants actively planning attacks against Israeli forces.

In addition, security personnel arrested around 350 wanted suspects and seized approximately 120 illegal weapons, along with hundreds of explosive devices.

The large-scale crackdown, focused primarily on northern Samaria and surrounding areas, was part of an ongoing effort to curb terrorist activity and prevent future attacks. According to security officials, the raids targeted key operatives responsible for manufacturing and deploying improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and those coordinating assaults against Israeli troops.

The confiscation of weapons and explosives, coupled with the elimination of high-level threats, was aimed at ensuring the safety of Israeli citizens and stabilizing the region.

The IDF launched Operation "Iron Wall" at the end of January 2025 in Jenin, involving special units targeting terrorist infrastructure in the Samarian stronghold.

At the time, the IDF stated: "This operation aims to maintain the IDF's freedom of operation throughout Judea and Samaria, and to destroy and neutralize terrorist infrastructure and operatives classified as 'ticking time bombs' before they can carry out attacks." The operation involved four battalions from the Kfir Brigade and Commando Brigade, alongside Border Police and Shin Bet forces. Eventually, Operation Iron Wall expanded to other areas throughout Samaria.
