The Israel Defense Forces' "Mountains" Brigade (180) has successfully completed its operational preparations, paving the way for the reopening of the Mount Hermon site to visitors. The brigade, operating under the command of the 210th Division, is responsible for securing both the Mount Hermon and Har Dov sectors in Israel's northern region.

In recent months, the brigade has conducted continuous situational assessments and defense operations to ensure the highest level of readiness. These efforts have been carried out in coordination with security forces and civilian authorities, addressing ongoing security challenges in the area.

As a result of these operational measures, the necessary security conditions have now been met, allowing visitors from across the country to safely return to Mount Hermon. The brigade’s forces remain deployed in the area to maintain security and protect Israeli citizens, ensuring that both tourism and daily life in the region can proceed without disruption.

Mount Hermon, a popular destination for nature lovers and winter sports enthusiasts, has long been a strategic and recreational landmark. The IDF's efforts in securing the site reflect its commitment to balancing national security with preserving access to important civilian spaces.
