WATCH: "Remember what Amalek did to you": The Knesset observes minute of silence for Bibas family
Members of Knesset from across the political spectrum united for a minute of silence in memory of the Bibas family and Oded Lifshitz z"l.


The Knesset plenum held a minute of silence today (Wednesday) with the memory of the late Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas and Oded Lifshitz, and with all the victims since October 7.
Meanwhile, some of the Knesset committees' deliberations were postponed today following requests by Knesset members to participate in the funeral procession of the Bibas family, while other committees continued their deliberations as planned and began with a minute of silence in their memory. The President's Residence was also lit up in orange in their memory.
The Economics Committee and the Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee opened the meeting with a minute of silence in memory of the family members. Knesset member David Bitan, chairman of the Knesset Economic Affairs Committee, said that "these are pure souls who were murdered in Hamas captivity," adding that the entire Knesset shares the family's grief.
MK Avraham Bezalel of Shas read a chapter of Psalms during the meeting and said that "the entire people of Israel bow their heads to this family, which is engraved in the hearts of the people."
The chairman of the National Security Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth, opened the discussion with a minute of silence in memory of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas: "The Bibas family is walking its last path today, we will never forget them."
Earlier today, the funeral convoy of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas left Rishon Lezion, accompanied by tens of thousands of people with Israeli flags and orange ribbons, until it reached the cemetery in the settlement of Tzohar, where the funeral ceremony will be held.
