Family outraged as Netanyahu discloses more shocking details of Bibas murders—"This Is Abuse"
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again detailed the horrific murders of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas during his speech at the AIPAC conference, just a day after the Bibas family had requested he refrain from doing so.

His remarks have sparked outrage, especially from the family, with Shiri’s sister-in-law, Ofri Bibas-Levi, condemning the continued disclosure of the gruesome details.
In his speech, Netanyahu vividly described the murder sequence of the three family members, particularly focusing on the horror inflicted on a young child. "Who could murder an infant? The monsters of Hamas. Their evil knows no bounds," Netanyahu said, prompting widespread condemnation from the Bibas family.
According to Ofri Bibas-Levi, the family had only authorized the release of the information provided by the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, but not the extensive details being made public by the Prime Minister. She accused Netanyahu of using the tragedy to further publicize the event for “propaganda purposes.” She also expressed the family's growing distress, noting that they were continually learning more about the murders through the media, the government’s messaging, and even from the Prime Minister himself. “This is pure abuse of a family already enduring hell for 16 months,” she said.
Earlier, on Monday, Prof. Dana Fugatz, the attorney representing the Bibas family, sent urgent requests to various officials, including Netanyahu’s office, asking them to stop disclosing more information about the murders. These requests came after Netanyahu revealed shocking details that the family had not yet seen in an official report. The family emphasized that the decision to release any information should remain solely theirs, as it was personal and private to them.
Despite the requests, Netanyahu proceeded to discuss the details in a manner that he believed was necessary for Israel’s security and the global understanding of Hamas's barbarity. He reaffirmed Israel’s stance, vowing to continue the fight against Hamas, stating, “We will destroy Hamas in Gaza and ensure that no family ever has to experience such horrors again.” Netanyahu also voiced his determination to defeat Hamas completely and emphasized that this would require full global support to demand the immediate release of all hostages.
The Bibas family, while still grieving, reiterated their wish to maintain control over what information about the tragic deaths is made public. They asked for privacy and respect during their mourning period, especially as they prepare for the funerals of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir, who will be buried in the settlement of Tzoar, near Gaza. Thousands are expected to line the streets to honor their memory, despite the family's request for a small, private ceremony.
The Prime Minister’s actions have ignited further debate over the balance between national security communication and respecting the privacy of those suffering from unspeakable losses. The Bibas family continues to ask for dignity and space as they face one of the hardest moments of their lives.
