Report: Iran is preparing for an immediate attack on its nuclear facilities
The British Telegraph reported that Iran has raised its defense systems around the nuclear sites to "maximum alert" for fear of an immediate Israeli-American attack.

The British Telegraph reported on Tuesday that Iran has put its defense systems around its nuclear sites on "maximum alert" for fear of an immediate Israeli-American attack on its nuclear facilities.
According to two senior government sources in Tehran quoted in the report, the defense system has been reinforced at nuclear sites across the country, and there is concern that the United States and Israel will launch a combined attack. A recently published US intelligence report indicated that Israel will most likely attack Iran in the first half of 2025.
One of the sources noted that "any major attack will leave Iran vulnerable, after its defense system was already damaged in the Israeli attack last year." According to him, "We are just waiting for the attack and expecting it every night, everything is on high alert – even at sites that no one knows about."
The Iranian official who spoke to The Telegraph said that there is now concern in Tehran that "the United States may join in and launch an attack on a larger scale that could endanger the existence of the Islamic Republic."
"Recent developments, including statements and reports from Donald Trump about his administration's potential plans to harm Iran, have further increased activity," he said.
Another Iranian official said, "Several additional launchers [air defense systems] have been deployed, but there is an understanding that they may not be effective in the event of a large-scale attack." "The work to strengthen nuclear sites has been going on for years, but it has intensified over the past year, especially since Israel launched the first attack," he added.
According to the report, the Islamic regime has locally developed an air defense system and has Russian S-300 missile systems to protect its nuclear sites.
