The White House posted a press release yesterday (Monday) showcasing a Harvard/Harris poll showing broad popular support for the Trump administration's agenda.

The statement noted that: "Most Americans approve of President Trump’s job performance — including pluralities of men, women, independents, and Americans who live in urban, suburban, and rural areas — while almost six-in-ten say he’s doing a better job than President Biden."

Getting to specifics, the release said that "almost half of Americans believe the U.S. economy is “strong” under President Trump — the highest number since 2021 — while a plurality say his policies will make them “financially better off.” Americans are significantly more optimistic about the direction of the country, with those who say we’re on the right track up 14 points over last month."

Finally, in reference to Elon Musk's controversial effort to discover and cancel wasteful uses of taxpayer money in government, the statement said that "Americans strongly support President Trump’s effort to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in government."

The statement posted multiple issues on which a majority of Americans back the President's agenda, including deporting illegal immigrants (81%), a “full-scale effort to find and eliminate fraud and waste in government" (76%), closing the border with additional security and policies (76%), keeping men out of women’s sports (69%), government declaring there are only two genders (68%), and ending race-based hiring in government (65%).

The statement also noted that "President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General Pam Bondi all enjoy net positive favorability."

President Trump entered the White House unleashing a flurry of activity, including over seventy executive orders in less than two months and multiple firings of federal employees considered to be incompetent or "disloyal" to the President.
