Hamas wants to send hostage bodies to Egypt?!

Bizarre Proposal: Hamas' latest negotiation details revealed

Hamas reportedly proposed sending the bodies of two deceased hostages to Egypt in exchange for the release of half of the 602 terrorists Israel had delayed releasing on Saturday.

The delay stemmed from ongoing violations by Hamas, particularly the public spectacles staged during previous hostage exchanges. Israel had refused to release these terrorists after Hamas repeatedly used the hostage releases as occasions for celebrations, often accompanied by humiliating displays.

According to Channel 12 News, Hamas is considering the return of the bodies of two hostages to Egypt in exchange for 301 of the delayed terrorists, which is half the number of the terrorists Israel has refused to release since Saturday. The move to send the Israeli hostage remains to Egypt is designed to avoid the dehumanizing ceremonies that have marred previous exchanges. The Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat also reported on negotiations, suggesting that the hostages' bodies might be returned soon, though no concrete details or confirmation have emerged regarding which hostages would be involved.

Israel’s defense officials have not commented on the report, and no official statement has been issued from the government or mediators. One Israeli source later denied the claims, calling them "not true."

On Monday, Israel communicated its willingness to proceed with the release of the 602 terrorists as originally planned, contingent on the return of the remains of four murdered hostages, a part of the first stage of the agreement. The bodies of the four hostages are scheduled to be released Thursday, despite a previous false report they were due to be released today, they had not yet been returned.

The delay in the release was attributed to the disturbing "release ceremonies" that Hamas held after each hostage exchange, including the swapping of Shiri Bibas’s body with that of a Gazan woman. Meanwhile, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem stressed that the release of the 602 terrorists is a key condition for the continuation of negotiations.
