WATCH: Gaza’s stores bursting with goods while our hostages languish in captivity
Shopping centers are fully stocked with fresh food, luxury items, and cheap essentials, while Israeli captives continue to suffer, deprived of their freedom and any connection to the outside world.

While global media outlets continue to report that Gaza's residents are starving and facing a humanitarian crisis, the reality on the ground paints a starkly different picture.
In recent weeks, Gaza's markets and shopping centers have reopened and are bursting with goods. Shelves are stocked with a wide variety of produce, packaged foods, and imported supplies at remarkably low prices.
This comes as Hamas continues to hold over 50 hostages, with little attention from the international community on the ongoing plight of those held captive. While world leaders and media outlets focus on the narrative of widespread starvation and genocide, the situation in the markets tells a different story—one of abundance, not scarcity.
Israel has been letting enter a humongous quantity of aid since the beginning of the current war. A recent report from the main Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) organization has confirmed that there is no famine in Gaza at the moment, even though they had previously anticipated a severe famine occurring between March and July 2024.
The recent study found that predictions regarding the volume of food entering the region were incorrect, as food supplies to Gaza actually rose rather than decreased in the past months. The new report concludes that based on the evidence at hand, there is no indication of a current famine taking place in Gaza.
