Dozens would have been killed

TERRIFYING Revelation: Bus bombs were set to go off at 9am but detonated at 9pm instead

An attempted terror bombing in Bat Yam and Holon nearly resulted in mass casualties. This evening in central Israel, authorities have uncovered an attempted terror attack involving multiple explosive devices on buses in Bat Yam and Holon, 3 of which detonated, and two more explosive devices have been identified.

The incident, which unfolded late on Thursday, could have led to a catastrophic loss of life. However, due to fortunate circumstances, the buses were empty at the time of the explosions, and no injuries were reported though this incident could have ended very differently as reports uncover.

The explosions took place when five explosive devices were planted on different buses, with three detonating on buses in Bat Yam. Fortunately, the buses were not carrying passengers, and the blasts, though powerful, did not result in casualties. Two additional devices, which had not exploded, were discovered and are currently being neutralized by bomb disposal experts.

The Shin Bet, Israel’s domestic security agency, and the police are actively investigating the event. Security forces have raised the alert level in Gush Dan, the area surrounding Tel Aviv, and instructed all bus and train drivers across the country to conduct thorough security checks of their vehicles. The Israeli public has been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious items or activities.

Security assessments confirmed that the bombs were timed to detonate the following morning, around 9:00 AM, when buses would be filled with commuters. However, due to a possible mistake or malfunction in the timers, the devices exploded earlier, at around 9:00 PM. Had the bombs detonated as initially planned, the consequences could have been devastating.

Military correspondent Doron Kadosh, reported that the suspects behind the bombing are still on the run. The investigation suggests the explosives might have been planted by operatives from Judea and Samaria. The Shin Bet issued statements confirming its ongoing investigation and a thorough search for additional explosives in the region.

Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, Miri Regev, has ordered the suspension of all public transportation, including buses and trains, until security inspections are completed. Following a security assessment with top officials, Regev emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and security measures across the country.

MK Itamar Ben-Gvir, Chairman of Otzma Yehudit, condemned the government's handling of the situation, accusing it of emboldening terrorist organizations by signing what he described as "reckless surrender deals."

Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered the IDF to intensify its operations in refugee camps across Judea and Samaria, targeting the terrorist infrastructure responsible for such attacks. Katz warned that those who harbor terrorists would pay a heavy price.

Hamas has reportedly not yet claimed responsibility for the failed attack, despite a threatening post made that could suggest otherwise. A note was also found attached to one of the explosive devices read, "This is revenge from the Tulkarm refugee camp," suggesting the group’s involvement.

One of the explosive devices had an inscription linking it to Nasrallah, Hezbollah, and Sinwar, indicating potential involvement or support from external groups such as Hezbollah, further complicating the investigation. The explosives were reportedly designed with timers, making it evident that the attackers had planned to cause maximum damage during peak hours when buses are crowded.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has been in constant communication with his military secretary regarding the unfolding situation, receiving updates and preparing for a further security assessment. Tel Aviv District Police have confirmed that the devices used in the attacks were all identical, with timers set to detonate at specific times. Police are continuing their investigation into the perpetrators.

While the attack was foiled due to timing errors, the situation could have been much worse. The explosive devices detonated without interference, and had the buses been full, the carnage could have been catastrophic. As the investigation continues, the government and security agencies are working tirelessly to prevent future terror attacks of this nature.

This attempted terror attack highlights the ongoing threat posed by Palestinian militant groups operating in Judea and Samaria, particularly in refugee camps like Tulkarm. The quick response by security forces, combined with the fact that the buses were empty, averted what could have been a tragedy of massive proportions. However, the incident underscores the constant risk posed by terrorism in Israel and the need for continued vigilance and robust security measures across the country.
