WATCH: Explosive terror in Bat Yam - Two empty buses detonate in potential attack
Two empty buses exploded unusually this evening in parallel in two parking lots in Bat Yam. The initial assessment is that it was an attempted terror attack. No reports of injuries as of now.

An unusual incident this evening (Thursday) in Bat Yam, central Israel: Two empty buses, parked in two adjacent lots, suddenly exploded and caught fire. There were no casualties in the explosions, and it is believed to be an attempted terrorist attack.
The Shin Bet is involved in investigating the unusual incident. The police stated that "many police forces are on the scene, examining the circumstances."
The explosions occurred around 8:30 PM. The Israel Fire and Rescue Services reported that a report was received about an explosion of one of the buses in the parking lot on Emal Street. "Firefighting forces that arrived at the scene identified a fully engulfed bus, with no injuries and no trapped individuals. The firefighting forces quickly controlled the blaze and there is no fear of fire spread."
As mentioned, the assessment among security forces is increasingly leaning towards an attempted attack. Consequently, all drivers in the Gush Dan area have been instructed to check their buses.
Bat Yam Mayor Tzvika Brot stated: "A short while ago, two explosions occurred in two buses that were in the city's bus parking lots, with no passengers. There were no injuries in these incidents. The details of the event are still unclear, and we are conducting searches and taking precautionary measures at this stage to ensure there is no further danger. I am on the scene along with police commanders and the city's security patrol and will update as soon as we have more details. Please refrain from approaching the event sites."
