Official Media Warning
Health Ministry to public: Avoid consuming media or spreading rumors on hostages
The Health Ministry issued a guidance to the public on how to handle today's delivery of slain hostages from Hamas to Israel for burial.

The Health Ministry released a statement today (Thursday) asking the public to avoid consuming media or spreading rumors about the slain hostages released today by Hamas.
Here is the full statement:
The Ministry of Health updates that the deceased hostages have arrived at the National Center for Forensic Medicine for identification. The teams, including forensic doctors and the laboratories of the National Center for Forensic Medicine, are prepared to provide the fastest possible response with sensitivity to the families.
The Ministry of Health again asks the public not to participate in malicious rumors, and to get updates only through official sources. We wish to remind that these are sensitive moments for the families and we ask to respect their privacy. The Ministry of Health hopes for the return of all hostages. The Ministry of Health calls on the public to act responsibly and sensitively:
Reduce viewing media coverage. Honor the deceased and families by not watching Hamas' psychological terror that desecrates their dignity. Repeated viewing of difficult videos can harm mental health.
Protect your children from watching the return of the deceased. There is no reason for a child to watch a funeral procession managed by Hamas. Explain to children what is happening in simple, clear language appropriate to their age and understanding.
We all carry invisible wounds of bereavement, loss and pain; assume that many people around you are dealing with grief and pain. Be sensitive to your loved ones, help those in distress engage in routine or calming activities. If someone needs assistance beyond your capability, refer them to professionals.
Do not spread rumors, rely on information from official sources. Do not spread terror, spare yourself descriptions or scenes of atrocities.
Dr. Gilad Bodenheimer, Head of the Mental Health Division at the Ministry of Health said that: "These are difficult days. Days of mourning, alongside comfort from resolving doubts and the anxiety accompanying them. We remain with the pain of loss and concern for those who have not yet returned. We hold on to prayer and anticipation for the return of all hostages and the deceased.
