Macron posted a heartfelt message on X, sharing a photo of the Bibas family and their loved ones, emphasizing the innocence and love of the Bibas siblings. “Shiri, Kfir, Ariel. Faces of innocence and love. Faces of an eternal humanity that the barbarity of Hamas will never destroy,” Macron wrote, showcasing his solidarity with the family in these dark times.

Macron also reiterated France’s unwavering support for the release of all hostages, adding, “France mobilized for the release of all hostages and stands alongside Yarden and the Bibas family. In universal brotherhood.” This message of unity and commitment resonated deeply, as it highlighted the ongoing efforts to secure the safe return of those held captive by Hamas.

The Bibas family, however, responded cautiously to the announcement, acknowledging the emotional turmoil they were enduring but emphasizing the lack of official confirmation regarding the return of their loved ones. “In recent hours, we are suffering emotional turmoil following the announcement by the Hamas spokesperson about the return of our Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir on Thursday, together with the dead bodies. It is important for us to say that we have heard the reports, but we have not yet received any official update on the matter,” they said in a statement. They further clarified, “Until we are certain, our journey will not end,” expressing their commitment to finding definitive answers about their family members' fate.

The family also requested privacy, urging the public and media not to contact them regarding the recent publications. Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit issued a call for caution, asking Israelis not to share “unverified rumors” about the fates of hostages. “Over the past hours, unverified rumors regarding the hostages and their families are being spread,” the IDF stated. The spokesperson urged the public to rely solely on official announcements, warning that such rumors could cause harm to the hostages’ families and the public at large.

However it was later confirmed by Israel that the bodies of Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel are set to be returned tomorrow from captivity to be buried in Israel in a tragic update that has left Israel in a state of shock and heartbreak.
