Talk About An Awful Detour
Nukhba Terrorists who massacred Nova festival-goers planned to attack Netivot
The IDF has begun publishing the results of its inquiries into the events of October 7, including the forces used against each target within Israel and the IDF's response.

Against the backdrop of IDF and Shin Bet preparations to present various investigations into the October 7th failures, tonight (Monday) part of the IDF investigation into the Nova Festival massacre was published for the first time.
This investigation is part of the IDF's overall investigations into the October 7th massacre, where each investigation contains a section called "Enemy Investigation," detailing who the terrorists were, where they came from, what they were equipped with, and more.
According to journalist Ayala Hasson's report, the military force that raided the Nova complex came from the Nuseirat area and consisted of between 100-120 terrorists, commanded by a deputy battalion commander and a company commander from the Nukhba Force. They subsequently crossed the border between Gaza and Israel as part of the second wave entering Israel, using 14 pickup trucks and 2 motorcycles.
The Hamas terrorists were equipped with two heavy machine guns, medium machine guns, anti-tank launchers, RPGs, and SA-7 anti-aircraft launchers. Additionally, each terrorist was armed with a personal weapon, Kalashnikov, grenades, and other ammunition.
The cursed terrorists even documented their horrific acts with 4 head cameras, 3 still cameras, vehicle cameras, and numerous mobile phones.
It was also revealed that the Hamas terrorists' intended target was the city of Netivot, but they got confused on their way to the city and drove toward Be'eri Forest. They then passed by the kibbutz area, arriving around eight in the morning at the entrance to the Nova Festival grounds, but decided to enter only at nine o'clock.
After the terrible massacre carried out by the terrorists at the festival, they left the site around ten o'clock and tried to move northward, but a military force in the area prevented them from doing so. They decided to go toward Kibbutz Be'eri instead. They later reached Pasi Cohen's house, and from there they decided to head back toward the Gaza Strip.
364 civilians were murdered at the Nova Festival, and 44 more were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip.
As previously reported, the IDF announced yesterday (Sunday) that during the coming week, the security establishment will present the investigations into the October 7th events. The conclusions will be submitted to the political echelon without personal conclusions against specific officers or entities - about six months later than the originally scheduled date.
The submission of the investigations takes place during the last week of the Chief of Staff's tenure, with the conclusions spanning an entire week from this coming Wednesday until a week later - the final day of the Chief of Staff's tenure.
Initially, the IDF will submit investigations detailing the strategic and security concept that Israel employed vis-à-vis the Gaza Strip and the handling of the Hamas terrorist organization in recent years.
