Hamas sources told a-Sharq al-Awsat today (Friday) that they have received guarantees from the Egyptian and Qatari mediators that all the aid they requested will enter the Gaza Strip, in a gradual manner, according to Israel Hayom.

The Hamas sources emphasized that accordingly, they are committed to continuing with the release of hostages on Saturday. According to Hamas sources, "The ball is now in Israel's court. Their level of commitment to the agreement will determine Hamas's level of commitment to implementing it. Hamas does not want to be the one to fail the agreement."

Meanwhile, Hamas sources in Gaza told "A-Sharq Al-Awsat": "Israel brought in almost 12,000 tents through the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening, so that 70,000 out of the 200,000 tents that were supposed to enter according to the agreement have arrived so far." These sources reported that a similar amount was supposed to enter the Strip on Thursday, along with a first group of caravans. It was also reported that according to the mediators' guarantees to Hamas, Israel will gradually allow the entry of tents and caravans, as well as medical equipment, heavy engineering equipment for debris removal, fuel, and more.

Last night, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem told the Saudi channel "A-Sharq": "Hamas will stand by the agreement as planned, but we are monitoring Israel's commitment." He accused that "Israel is trying to evade the second phase of the agreement by exploiting the statements of American officials, especially those of Donald Trump, who called for a tougher stance regarding Gaza."

A senior source familiar with the negotiations told the Saudi channel: "The mediators confirmed to Hamas that Israel committed to implementing the humanitarian protocol, which includes bringing in thousands of caravans, heavy engineering equipment, fuel, and medical equipment." The source added: "These are not new demands but an explicit part of the first phase of the agreement. What is required is for Israel to be committed to what was agreed upon instead of delaying."
