Outraged over the removal of a Western Wall stone, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz calls on officials to restore it at once, emphasizing the sacred nature of the site and rejecting its use for exhibitions.

Following the transfer of a stone from the Western Wall from the Knesset to an exhibition at Ben Gurion Airport, the rabbi of the Western Wall, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, demands that it be returned to its place next to the stones of the Western Wall.

In a letter sent today to the Speaker of the Knesset, the Deputy Minister of Transportation, the Director General of the Ministry of Heritage and the Director General of the Israel Antiquities Authority, Rabbi Rabinowitz wrote: "The stones of the Western Wall are sacred, and with all the desire to present Jewish history and Jewish heritage, the stones of the Western Wall should not be removed for this purpose."

He added: "There is no place for a stone from the Western Wall in the Knesset or anywhere else. Their place is among the stones of the Western Wall, which are located next to the Western Wall."

At the end of his letter, the rabbi demanded that the stone be returned immediately from the airport and that it be placed next to the stones of the Western Wall.

The large stone, which weighs about 5 tons, was recently transferred to an exhibition at Ben Gurion Airport, as part of the "Eternity of Israel" exhibition.

This is a new exhibition that was inaugurated yesterday on the Departure Boulevard at Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion Airport. According to the plan, the exhibition will be displayed on the Departures Avenue at Ben Gurion Airport until the end of 2025.
