Jewish Celebrities and Rabbis Unite in Full-Page NYT Ad
Unbelievable: Hundreds of US Rabbis and Celebrities make shocking NYT Ad opposing Trump’s Gaza plan
A powerful group of Jewish celebrities, artists, and rabbis has taken a bold stand against U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial plan for Gaza. In a full-page ad published in The New York Times, they strongly object to what they describe as ethnic cleansing in the region.

The ad, which appeared on page A7, directly addresses Trump’s proposal to permanently relocate the entire population of Gaza, a plan he has repeatedly advocated since taking office.
The ad’s text reads: “Trump has called for the removal of all Palestinians from Gaza. Jewish people say NO to ethnic cleansing!” This message is signed by dozens of prominent Jewish public figures, including actors Joaquin Phoenix, Summer Phoenix, and Rain Phoenix, as well as Ilana Glazer, Eric André, Tony Kushner, Naomi Klein, Peter Beinart, and Wallace Shawn. These individuals have long been vocal supporters of Palestinian rights and have often spoken out on issues related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The ad is not limited to celebrities. It also includes hundreds of rabbis, many of whom are well-known figures in Jewish left-wing activism. These rabbis, some of whom have supported Israel in the past, are united in their opposition to the idea of forcibly displacing Palestinians from Gaza. Prominent names on the list include Sharon Brous, Amichai Lau-Lavie, and Sally Priesand.
Funds raised through the ad will go toward the In Our Name Campaign, which seeks to raise $10 million for organizations supporting Palestinian-led efforts to promote safety, dignity, and self-determination in Palestine, as well as pro-Palestinian activism in the United States.
Trump’s Gaza plan has faced significant criticism both domestically and internationally. While some right-wing Jewish groups and the Israeli government have supported it, many liberal Jewish organizations and public figures continue to reject the idea as a violation of Palestinian rights.
