Family of October 7 Hostage Get First Sign in Months
"Our Son is Alive": Parents receive sign of life from hostage Eitan Mor
In a moment of hope amidst the ongoing crisis, the Mor family has announced that they have received a sign of life from their son, Eitan Mor, who was kidnapped during the horrific October 7 massacre.

The family shared this news on Wednesday evening, offering a glimmer of optimism after weeks of uncertainty and anguish.
Eitan, the eldest of eight siblings, was born and raised in Kiryat Arba, a town in the West Bank, and later moved to the Nachlaot neighborhood in Jerusalem. On the day of the massacre, he was at the Nova music festival, where he was working as part of the security team. Tragically, his friend and fellow security member, Elyakim Libman, was killed during the attack. Eitan was abducted by Hamas militants along with many others.
In a statement shared by the family, they expressed their prayers for the safe return of all hostages, including Eitan. The update on Eitan’s condition comes after weeks of silence, during which the Mor family, like many others, has been in constant fear and uncertainty.
Eitan’s father, Tzvika Mor, has been vocal in his frustration with the situation. Reflecting on the ordeal, Tzvika stated, "Hamas put us into a reality show, or an Arab thriller, three weeks ago." He described the emotional toll of the ongoing ordeal, revealing that Hamas has been raising the stakes in an effort to intensify pressure on families. Despite this, he remains cautiously hopeful, predicting that a small number of hostages, including his son, will be released soon as part of the ongoing negotiations.
As the Mor family holds onto hope, they continue to wait for their son’s safe return, alongside all the other hostages still held in Gaza. The news of Eitan’s sign of life offers a fragile but precious thread of hope in an otherwise dark and painful situation.
