In an interview that will be broadcast tomorrow on Central Edition, Orly revealed that her daughter was forced to endure a chilling propaganda video staged by her captors. “They told her they would film her dead,” Orly recalled, adding that Daniela begged them for her life, pleading with them not to carry out their cruel threat.

According to Orly, the terrorists went to great lengths to make the scene appear as though Daniela had been killed by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) fire. “They staged the entire scene, even pouring powder on her to make it look like she had been hit by our forces,” Orly explained. The attacker's actions were aimed at manipulating the narrative for propaganda purposes, using Daniela’s situation to further their cause.

In a heart-wrenching moment, Daniela later apologized to her parents when they were reunited after her release. “She apologized for what the terrorists had forced her to do,” Orly recounted. It was a painful but moving acknowledgment of the trauma she had endured and the impact it had on her family.

The propaganda video mentioned by Orly was released by Hamas in November 2024, claiming that a captive had been killed by IDF fire. The video showed a young woman with tattoos similar to Daniela’s, leaving her family and the public uncertain of her fate. The IDF responded by stating that they could neither verify nor refute the claims made in the video.

Following Daniela’s release, Orly publicly expressed gratitude for the unwavering support her family received, even when it seemed the worst had occurred. “You believed with us that Daniela was okay, and that it was just a cruel game Hamas was playing with our minds,” Orly said, reflecting the resilience and hope that carried them through the darkest days.
