Earlier today (Wednesday), an Israeli Air Force aircraft attacked a drone and two suspects who were picking it up in the southern Gaza Strip.

The IDF explained that the attack was carried out after the drone was identified crossing the country into the southern Gaza Strip, and was monitored throughout its flight.

The IDF Spokesperson said: "Recently, a number of attempts to smuggle weapons into the Gaza Strip using drones have been identified. The IDF will not allow terrorist activity of any kind and will continue to act as necessary in order to maintain the security of the citizens of the State of Israel."

Yesterday, the IDF Spokesperson announced that in accordance with the assessment of the situation and the decision to raise the alert and readiness in the Southern Command sector, it was decided to increase additional extensive reinforcements, including the mobilization of reserves.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces remain on high alert along the Philadelphi Corridor near the Egypt-Gaza border, warning civilians to stay away from the area. Gaza Division Commander Brigadier General Barak Hiram has instructed troops in the corridor to maintain heightened vigilance.

According to Israel Hayom, Hamas believes that a single soldier's death would not be enough to break the ceasefire, raising concerns about the group's testing of the truce's limits.
