Hamas strongly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's recent announcement regarding his plan to relocate Gazans from the Gaza Strip, aiming to rebuild the area. In an official statement released Thursday, the group called on Arab countries to unite in opposition to the proposed relocation.

Hamas further demanded an emergency summit with Arab nations to address what it described as Trump’s “displacement project.” The group emphasized that Trump’s comments about Washington’s potential involvement in Gaza could be interpreted as a push for U.S. occupation of the region.

“We do not need any country to patrol the Gaza Strip, and we do not accept replacing one occupation with another,” Hamas stated. The organization also urged for greater “Palestinian unity” to oppose the relocation plan, calling on Arab countries to resist pressure from Trump and maintain their stance against displacement.

In addition, Hamas appealed to Arab nationals and international organizations to take strong action in rejecting the proposed plan.
