All there is to know on hostage Keith Siegel
Details on Keith Siegel, first American hostage set to be released tomorrow
Keith Siegel, a 65-year-old American-Israeli citizen, is set to be released from Hamas captivity tomorrow, after enduring 482 days in brutal conditions.

Siegel, a resident of Kibbutz Kfar Aza, was abducted on October 7, 2023, during the Hamas-led attack on Israeli border communities. His wife, Aviva, was kidnapped alongside him, and after being held for 51 days, she was released as part of a ceasefire agreement in November 2023.
Keith Siegel's release marks an important milestone in the ongoing hostage negotiations, as he is the first American citizen from the October 7 attack to be freed. His release is part of a broader ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, which has brought some relief to the families of those still held in captivity. Keith's return to Israel is a long-awaited event, but it comes with mixed emotions, as his family continues to grapple with the trauma of his absence and the recent loss of his mother, who passed away while he was still held hostage.
Keith's two daughters have been waiting anxiously for his return. One of his daughters even postponed her wedding, holding onto hope that her father would come home safely. "We've been waiting for this moment for so long," she shared. "Our whole family has been through so much. We can finally start healing with Dad coming back."
Keith's abduction, along with so many others from Kibbutz Kfar Aza and surrounding communities, has left an indelible mark on his family. His return is a long-awaited relief, but the Siegel family is still waiting for answers about the many others who remain in captivity. Despite the joy of Keith's imminent release, the family continues to hold onto hope for the safe return of all the hostages still held by Hamas.
