Agam Berger, the last remaining IDF observer who was kidnapped during the October 7 attacks, is currently being transferred to IDF forces after being handed over from Hamas to the Red Cross. Her release comes after a year and four months in captivity.

Berger was the final military observer still held in Gaza since her capture by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

Two civilian hostages, Arbel Yehud and Gadi Mozes, are expected to be released later today as part of the continuing exchange process.

Earlier today, Berger was seen leaving a destroyed building under Hamas 'escort'.

The day's releases are scheduled to proceed in three waves, including both Israeli and Thai nationals. Red Cross representatives and Hamas officials were documented participating in a formal handover ceremony, signing transfer documents.

Islamic Jihad has also released morning footage of Yehud and Moses ahead of their anticipated release in Khan Yunis.

In a joint statement released moments ago, Israeli military and security officials confirmed that the freed hostage is now safely in IDF custody within Gaza and is being escorted back to Israel.

Elite IDF special forces and Shin Bet security service personnel are accompanying her during the transfer. She will receive immediate medical attention upon arrival in Israel.

Military commanders and soldiers along the evacuation route have been greeting the returning hostage with salutes and embraces.

Officials are urging the public and media to respect her privacy during this sensitive time.

The military added that they remain fully prepared to receive additional hostages expected to be released in the coming hours.

Itay Blumenthal reports that Agam's violin was brought to the waystation at Re'im. Agam studied violin in high school.

Israel Hayom reports that she has now met with her family.

This is a developing story. We will continue to update as more information becomes available.
