IDF forces eliminated the head of Hamas in Tulkarm, Ihab Abu Itwi, according to Channel 14 News. This follows the IDF's announcement that in a joint operation with the Shin Bet, an Israeli Air Force aircraft attacked a target in the area.
Itwi replaced the former head of Hamas' network, Ashraf Nafa'a, who was killed in July. It should be noted that Ashraf was responsible for a long list of attacks, and even documented and publicized himself shooting in broad daylight at Bat Hefer, an Israeli town just on the Israeli side of the separation wall which runs right near Tulkarm. He was filmed talking with the former head of Hamas' political branch, Ismail Haniyeh, which points to his senior rank.
According to reports on Arab networks, a vehicle was attacked in the Nur a-Shams refugee camp near Tulkarm, and there were casualties and possibly fatalities. A video that was published shows a car on fire on the side of the road. The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that two terrorists had arrived at the hospital in Tulkarm. One was killed and the other was wounded and is in moderate condition.
Earlier today, Channel 14 reported that alongside the progress in the Jenin area as part of Operation Iron Wall, under the direction of the political echelon, the campaign in northern Samaria will probably expand to other places. This comes as part of the deal with Hamas, wherein hundreds of terrorists are released with blood on their hands, and some of them are already roaming freely throughout Judea and Samaria.
