The undercover investigation took place for several months and centered on two young soldiers who had completed their regular service and continued directly to reserve duty, who had held sensitive positions, one of them in the Iron Dome. hey were arrested two weeks ago, and today (Monday) a prosecutor's statement was filed against them. The punishment for these crimes is life imprisonment or death without the authority of the court.
The investigation by the police and the Shin Bet revealed that for several months Yuri had been in contact with an Iranian official, and had been carrying out security missions under his direction in exchange for money.
Among other things, graffiti "Children of Ruhalla" was sprayed in various places in the country, as well as the transfer of classified material obtained during his military service in the air defense system.
In addition, Yuri suggested to his Georgian friend that he also be in contact with the Iranian operator in order to carry out missions in exchange for financial reward. The two continued their espionage missions, despite media reports they were exposed to at the time, regarding the arrest and interrogation of Israeli civilians.
This morning a prosecutor's statement was filed against the two, and in the coming days, the State Attorney's Office is expected to file a serious indictment against them.
