Hamas has yet to deliver the required status report on hostages held in Gaza, a key condition of the ceasefire agreement reached with Israel. The list, due by Saturday, was expected to provide details on the hostages’ status, including how many remain alive and how many have died, according to a report from Walla citing Israeli officials.
An Israeli official warned that failure to submit the list by the end of the day would constitute another breach of the agreement by Hamas. This follows a prior violation in which Hamas released female IDF soldiers before civilian female hostages, contrary to the terms of the deal.
IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated, “Hamas failed to meet its obligations to release Israeli female civilian hostages first as part of the agreement.” One such civilian, 29-year-old Arbel Yehoud, was expected to be released on Saturday but remains in captivity.
The Prime Minister’s Office emphasized that Israel will not allow Gazans to cross into northern Gaza until Yehoud is released. Instead of Yehoud, four female observers—Daniella Gilboa, Liri Elbag, Karina Ariev, and Naama Levy—were freed after 477 days in captivity, reuniting with their families.
