Israel is on high alert ahead of receiving the list of hostages that is expected to arrive from Hamas on Wednesday. According to Channel 14, political sources in Jerusalem note that information about the identities of the hostages who are expected to be released is important to ensure compliance with the agreements set with Hamas, but warn of additional delays that may occur on the part of the terrorist organization.

The hostages – three female lookouts and one civilian – are expected to be released tomorrow, in accordance with the agreements. A diplomatic source noted that despite Hamas's maneuvers, it should be remembered that Israel is dealing with a cynical and murderous terrorist organization. Therefore, it must be taken into account that there will be more violations.

Jerusalem clarified that significant delays in the current phase could lead to a decisive response from Israel, including a renewal of attacks in the Gaza Strip. However, officials keep a low profile when it comes to direct threats, so as not to jeopardize the continued implementation of the agreement.

Israel has set itself a complex goal: to establish a civilian government in the Gaza Strip, which will be operated from the outside by a foreign actor, such as the Emirates and perhaps also the Americans, with some Israeli involvement. This rule is supposed to be run on a daily basis by residents of Gaza who do not belong to Hamas or are affiliated with the Palestinian Authority. This is a complex goal, and some say even impossible.
