Forces of the 300th Brigade have been operating under 146th Division to remove any and all threats related to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
They have recently begun operating in the village of Ayta ash-Shab, which served as a major base for Hezbollah for both arming and multiple terror attacks on Israeli territory, including rocket and anti-tank missile fire.
IDF sweeps revealed multiple weapons and military equipment including rocket launchers, missiles and launchers, IEDs, RPG launchers, AK-47s, hundreds of rockets and mortar rounds, grenades, Kornet anti-tank missiles, and sniper weapons.
All these weapons and equipment were located in houses, courtyards, kindergartens, and basements. The IDF also found weapons warehouses and stores and resting areas for Hezbollah in these same locations.
All the weapons and equipment were either confiscated or destroyed.
The IDF said that the 300th Brigade was continuing its sweeps to remove further threats to Israel and its citizens, while adhering to the ceasefire with Lebanon.

The government is set to meet tonight (Thursday) to discuss Israeli policy regarding Lebanon, especially whether the IDF will completely withdraw from Lebanese territory by this coming Sunday, as required by the ceasefire agreement.
President Donald Trump and his administration are so far rebuffing requests to extend the deadline for fear that this would lead to the collapse of the ceasefire, and Lebanese leaders from the President on down have been insisting that the deadline be adhered to in full.
Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Herzog told Army Radio that Israel was in talks with the Trump administration to extend the deadline that he hoped the two governments would reach an understanding on the matter.
Meanwhile, the IDF is increasingly pessimistic that the region of southern Lebanon will actually be demilitarized, as the Lebanese Army is slow to deploy throughout the region, and there are signs that units with Shiite soldiers or commanders are even working with the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
For their part, Hezbollah has reportedly committed "hundreds" of violations of the ceasefire agreement in trying to move around weapons and armed terrorists in southern Lebanon, and has threatened that any IDF presence in Lebanon beyond the deadline "will not be accepted."
